The Customer

Local farmer who is planning a new tree plantation. The area has a high population of roe deer, so the new trees will need some protection while they become established.

The Challenge

This job was completed in an extremely wet week. Despite the wet conditions, we were able to go ahead with this job due to our tracked machinery, and the fact that the ground was well drained.

The Solution

This fence covered a rectangular plot of 500m. For this installation we used 1.8m deer netting from Tornado Wire. The netting is installed on 10ft straining posts and 8ft intermediate posts. 

The Installation

This installation took a team of 2, 2 days to complete. We used our Protech EVO1S post knocker to knock the posts, and our 5 ton CAT 305E2 CR excavator with solo netter to pull the wire.

The Result

Despite the rain, this job ran surprisingly smoothly. The plot is now deer proof and ready to be prepared for tree planting season in the autumn
