A busy October saw us take on the reopening of a council footpath in Chelford, Cheshire. High tensile netting – using two strands of barbed wire – was used to border the footpath and provided the extra strength required for a well-trodden walkway. In modern fencing, high tensile wire is a game changing material, as it can be be strained much tighter than milder steel materials. As no amount of weathering will cause this type of netting to stretch, the need for future fence retightening is removed and makes high tensile wire a cost-saving option. Also, with an internal strand of plain wire finishing off the fence, the general public are suitably protected when walking down the footpath. High tensile material is a Stockdale Fencing firm favourite and our entire skilled workforce is armed with the knowledge and ability to efficiently set it up. For any enquiries regarding footpath fencing, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and we’d be happy to help!
