The Customer

We completed this work at a local residential property. The customer wanted to dog proof their garden, they also wanted a fence that would give them some extra privacy from the fields to the rear and lane to the right of the house but not block them off from their neighbours to the left. 

The Challenge

The challenge with this job was to give the customers a high, solid fence that was also athletically pleasing and dog proof. Due to the differing needs for privacy on different sides of the garden, different heights of boarder were used on each side.

The Solution

After a meeting with one of our Contractors Managers, the customers decided on a Feather Edge fence. This type of fence is solid, can be made dog proof and is very pleasing on the eye.

The customers decided to keep the fence on one side of the garden at 4ft, to allow light into the garden and not block out their neighbours. The customer requested a gate be added here, to allow easy access for visiting their neighbours and vice versa.

The fence on the remaining 2 sides of the garden was installed to stand at 6ft high for privacy against the lane and fields.

The Installation

This installation took a team of 2, 4 days to complete. We began by removing and disposing of the old fencing. 

Once the removal was complete, we use our auger to make the holes for the 4 x 4, 9ft posts. The posts were then concreted in and left to set before installing 3 rails plus the 4 x 2 kick boards. 

The boards were then attached to the rails and the small gate was added to complete the job. 

The Result

The customer now has a great lookin fence around the perimeter of their garden. The fence is completely dog proof and provides privacy on the sides that it is needed. They also have a small gate through which to visit their neighbours.
